Developing Empathy at Mighty Oaks 奧恩

Teaching kids how to care for living things - from babies to plants to friends- helps them exercise empathy. Helping babies take baths is one of the activities that help our children learn that all living things have needs. These needs are not identical and that everyone can help! Children’s brains are developmentally hard-wired for empathy, but it is also a skill that has to be cultivated through daily practice. Let us all give our children opportunities to act upon those feelings and build their confidence as “helpers.”
