After our students "bai leen" with their teachers, our students had so much fun choosing which stalls they wanted to spend their "gold coins" on. They shopped and laughed with their teacher shopkeepers and bought student made mandarin oranges, fai chuns and New Year- themed items. Some even became lions, drumming and dancing around school. The best part was when our kids kept coming back for seconds at the Chinese pudding stall, eating their way through organic pudding! What a fun way to greet the new year! At Mighty Oaks, our school motto is "Where lifelong learning meets character development".
