Filling, scooping and pouring activities help develop fine motor skills in under 5s as well as using math concepts such as less and more. Toddlers are also exploring gravity and weight whilst dumping the cereal and these activities provide important practice that will lead to greater independence. All you need are some scoops, spoons and cups and you’re set! For older kids, add some pipe cleaners so they can practise threading too!
