During the spread of the current Coronavirus Pandemic, schools in Hong Kong have been closed since January. Except for the daily zoom online classes, parents are lost as to what they can do to keep their children entertained whilst they work from home. With the overwhelming number of google search results for "Kindergarten learning resources", parents are lost. Have no fear! Our school has compiled a list of free English-language resources that we find helpful for our students:

2) Starfall has been teaching children to read with phonics for well over a decade. Click to find out more:https://www.starfall.com/h/abcs/. You can also check out IXL for word work activities that are the just right for kindergartners. There are tons of activities—from identifying letters to learning vowel sounds and sight words.
3) Audible is now offering free audiobooks for kids staying at home for 30 days: stories.audible.com/discovery
4) National Geographic’s Kids is the perfect website for children that love animals. It has free home-friendly activities and beautifully made videos, we are watching the octopus one right now: https://kids.nationalgeographic.com/. For animal lovers, there are live feeds of Grauer’s gorillas, animals in Africa, aquariums and polar bears. Get the list: https://www.weareteachers.com/best-nature-webcams/.
5) Scholastic Learn At Home offers daily courses for pre-K and kindergarten students. This week they are featuring rabbits, just in time for Easter: https://classroommagazines.scholastic.com/support/learnathome/grades-prek-k.html
6) Mystery Science offers its most popular hands-on science and engineering lessons for kindergarten kids to use for free. No account or login is needed: https://mysteryscience.com/school-closure-planning
