There is something so fun about making and wearing funny glasses. To learn the color "red", our prenursery kids made their own red lensed glasses with paper, paper straw, cellophane, and sheer creativity. After decorating their own glasses, the kids had fun wearing them and running around seeing things in a different colour. If you want to do this at home, place different colored cellophane on top of each other so kids can explore colour mixing.
